As usual if you should find errors in the classification of species or other types of inconsistencies, do not hesitate to report to me the error
Insects. Or to be more precise, Insects and Arachnids. Some people are afraid of them, others horrified, others fascinated, others love them. The reality, no matter how you look at them, is that insects and Arachnids are among the most indispensable, strange, heterogeneous, strong and resilient creatures on the Planet.
I’m pretty sure that, after several Dynasties that have dominated the Planet over the Millennia and Eras (Fish, Invertebrates, Reptiles, Dinosaurs and, nowadays, Mammals) the next “Masters of the House” will be them.
For every human being on Earth, the corresponding number of Insects is approximately 1.400.000.000 (one billion and four hundred million), just to give you an idea of how much they outnumber us.
Let’s be clear, Insects and Arachnids are not exactly the same “thing”, even if commonly seen as a single world, they are two very distinct families, which for convenience we will consider a single large “Band of Brothers”.
This Gallery is dedicated to them and their incredible diversity. From the overall images to the Macro details, I will try to make you fall in love with them.
